Never before had she seen a sky as the one before her. It was as though a skilled artist had taken it as a canvas, painting it with infinitesimal dots, marvellous in their brightness and aligned to perfection.

It was at that moment that she wondered how people could possibly believe that this was all the makings of a large collision of matter several billion years ago.

One star seemed to follow her the entire way, leading her to wonder who else could be staring up at it. In that moment, they were bound by an eternal bond where nothing could come between them.


She smiled at the comfort of the thought.
